Scott S. Rosenblum

As many of you know, I am running for re-election as a Trustee of the Village.

During the past eight years as Trustee, I have brought judgment and dedication to the Board. These qualities together with my as managing partner of a major law firm, a member of the board of directors of public and private corporations, and my ability to balance competing interests will enable me to successfully guide us through the challenges we will face in the future.

During my tenure, I have been involved in every major action of the Village and have helped guide the Village through significant change while preserving its special character.

More recently, as Recreation Commissioner, I completely restructured the Camp Program which has become one of the jewels of Saltaire. I established a Family Program to encourage parents and children to participate in activities together, established a Pre-Camper and Library Program, reinvigorated the Teen Program, and provided many new programs for both adults and children.

As Fire Commissioner, I have consistently fostered cooperation between the Fire Department and the Village, focusing on the Fire Department's needs to ensure that it is fully equipped to serve the Village.

As Insurance Commissioner, I instituted the re-bidding policy which has allowed the Village to increase its coverage at lower rates.

In addition to the upgrading of the medical offices and the coordinating of the medical effort with the Bayshore doctors, I initiated the establishment of the Village's Mosquito Control Program in the face of the West Nile virus threat.

Finally, and most importantly, as Deputy Mayor, I performed all the duties of the Mayor of the Village during Martin's lengthy illness.

I believe that I can build upon everything that we have accomplished and meet the challenges that facing us. I greatly appreciate your support.
